What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to give site owners information about visitor behaviour. Paymo uses cookies and similar technologies — including web beacons, pixels, and local storage — to enhance your experience across our platform.
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored on your device for a defined period). They may be set directly by Paymo (first-party) or by our trusted service partners (third-party).
Paymo does not use cookies to collect personal information beyond what is strictly necessary for platform functionality and security. We never sell cookie data to third parties.
Types We Use & Your Preferences
We categorise our cookies into four types. Essential cookies are always active — they are critical for the platform to function securely. You may enable or disable the remaining categories using the toggles below.

Your Consent & Preferences
A cookie consent banner appears on your first visit. You may accept all, reject non-essential, or customise using the toggles in Section 02. Preferences are saved for 12 months, after which we will request consent again.
You can update preferences at any time via Account Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences within the Paymo platform.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal, and will not impact your access to core Paymo payroll features.
Third-Party Cookies
The following third-party providers may set cookies governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics & Google Ads — web analytics and advertising measurement
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — conversion tracking and remarketing on Meta platforms
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — B2B audience analytics and campaign attribution
- Intercom — in-app support chat sessions and user identification
We audit our third-party cookie usage periodically and update this policy when new providers are added.
Browser-Level Controls
Most browsers let you control cookies through Settings → Privacy or Settings → Security. You can block all cookies, delete existing cookies, or set per-site exceptions. Note that disabling essential cookies may impact Paymo login, session security, and platform stability.
For browser-specific guides visit: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app banner. Continued use of Paymo after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
